They offer several hosting tiers (each with its own set of features), so knowing the details makes a difference when you’re deciding. A2 Hosting includes lots of developer tools for advanced WordPress workflows. I noticed European visitors got much faster load times when I hosted in Amsterdam instead of the US. The server-level optimizations mean you don’t have to mess with extra plugins or tweak settings to get good speeds.
Their shared hosting plans start at just $2.99 per month, making it an affordable option for individuals and businesses of all sizes. With their Turbo Servers, A2 Hosting claims to be up to 20 times faster than other hosting providers. In this review — I will focus on WordPress hosting, which is becoming one of the most popular options. A2 was one of the first hosts to support PHP5, an important milestone for web developers.
If you’re bringing an existing website to A2, the team will help you get it on its servers. It’s anti-DMCA hosting particularly strong concerning customer support and guaranteed uptime of 99.9% or above, but it is also a somewhat stagnant service that doesn’t seem to be making any major changes. There’s a lot to like about A2 Hosting, from its wide range of subscriptions and 24/7 support to guaranteed uptime of 99.9% or above. Depending on your needs, you can set up a shared, virtual private server (VPS) or even dedicated hosting. Finally, A2 only offered mid-level performance based on our testing and research.

Pricing and A2 Hosting Plans
Some things to keep in mind before I dive into the analysis – I hosted my WordPress Plus plan on hosting.com’s Dallas, TX data center. Speaking of plugins… you’ll only receive automatic data backups with the managed WordPress plans. The pre-installed SSL was another thing that made site setup easier and quicker as I didn’t have to configure anything on my own. These features aren’t always free – some hosts will make you pay for this level of security as a monthly add-on. Not having to do it saved me time and effort – and considerably sped up the setup process. If you don’t have a domain name, there’s a handy domain checking tool in the checkout process that searches for your desired domain and suggests other options if it isn’t available.
If you opt for the managed version, you’ll get one of up to nine tier plans to choose from. Of course, prices are going to be much higher, given that you’ll have access to significantly increased resources and your very own server. Choosing VPS hosting may be for you if you’re looking to keep costs down but want your site to have the benefits that would come with Dedicated Hosting. If you scale up to their most comprehensive option, Supersonic 32, you’ll be paying a maximum of $79.99 each month. If you don’t anticipate huge amounts of traffic to your website, shared hosting is probably the smartest option.
A2 Hosting Customer Support Review
They claim you’ll get speeds up to 20x faster than standard hosting. If you’re not satisfied with your current web hosting provider — migrate to A2 free of charge. The shared and reseller plans are limited to 15GB of space per email, but it’s still a lot of space if you’re a small or medium-sized business.
If speed, scalability, and flexibility are at the top of your hosting wishlist—and you’re comfortable navigating cPanel—A2 Hosting , now hosting.com, is an excellent choice. Introductory pricing changes frequently based on promotions and term length. It’s powerful and widely supported, but not as beginner-friendly as custom dashboards from hosts like Bluehost or DreamHost. Some users—especially beginners—might find the learning curve steeper than with “guided” hosts. Phone support is available if you prefer to talk through complex questions.
While the interface is intuitive for everyday tasks (advanced actions—like building your site), managing email, or setting up databases—happen in cPanel, which I’ll cover below. The top menu puts account actions front and center, so you’re not digging through submenus to find what you need. Once you complete your order, you’ll get immediate access to the Client Area to manage hosting, domains, billing, and support in one place. If you choose an annual plan, you can get a free first-year domain on eligible TLDs (terms apply), which streamlines setup. If you’re just getting started and want something beginner-friendly, consider one of my other top web hosting recommendations instead.
Its Pro Plus plan complete with more awesome features is priced at $2.59 a month if you avail for 36 months. You can get this email hosting plan at $1.59 per month for a Professional plan which is good for 36 months. Now you don’t need to switch up your email strategies with this hosting plan for your email campaigns.
WordPress comes pre-installed, and settings like caching and backups are already set up for you. That said (if you’re not running WooCommerce or a busy site), you might not need to go beyond the WP Small or WP Medium plans. I ran a GTmetrix test on the demo site hosted with Hosting.com, and the result was strong. They’ve invested in eco-friendly practices to offset emissions and reduce their environmental footprint.
So, if you don’t mind paying more for quality shared hosting backed by good customer support and more number of data centers, ChemiCloud is one of the best options for you. The great performance of ChemiCloud is backed by an equally good customer support team. And more recently (while updating this article), I created a ticket asking the executive to reset my hosting account.
When it comes to security, A2 Hosting has a lot of robust measures to protect their clients’ websites. During a recent database issue (I waited for over 45 minutes for live chat support), only to be directed to submit a ticket, which took another 24 hours to resolve. A2 Hosting support has been hit or miss for me, and it’s an area where they definitely need to improve, like a lot. What really sets their WordPress hosting apart is how they’ve optimised the entire stack specifically for WordPress sites. However, you should know that you’ll need to be on at least their Turbo plan to access these benefits, which comes at a higher price point than their basic shared hosting. During last Black Friday — we lost an estimated $7,000 in potential sales due to SiteGround’s server issues.
