Many readers assume a bonus balance becomes cash the moment they stop playing, and that wrong idea costs them the winnings they built. The condition behind it is wagering: the playthrough you must complete before bonus money turns into withdrawable funds. Until that playthrough is finished, the bonus stays a promise tied to your deposit rather than money you can take out.
How to Claim the Offer
The claim path is short, but each step has a condition attached, so work through them in order before you deposit.
- Sign in to your account through the Casino Rama login page. Use the same device each time so the account history stays consistent.
- Open the promotions area and pick the welcome offer that matches your plans. Read the short summary shown there before you accept it.
- Enter the promo code if one is shown with the offer. A missing code is the most common reason a bonus never attaches.
- Make your first deposit with a method the offer allows. Some methods are excluded from bonus eligibility even when the deposit itself works.
- Wait for the bonus to appear in your balance before you spin. Playing first and claiming later leaves those bets outside the offer.
- Note the expiry date shown with the bonus. Unused bonus money and its winnings can disappear once that date passes.
- Start with games that count fully toward playthrough. Slots normally contribute more to wagering than table games do.
A claim that fails usually fails for a small reason rather than a large one. The code may have been typed with a space, or the deposit method may sit on the excluded list. Sometimes the bonus is there but the player never noticed it, because it shows in a separate balance from cash. Keep your confirmation message until the bonus is visible in your account. Once it is visible, the playthrough clock has started. From that point, every bet either moves you toward the target or wastes progress.
What the Terms Mean
The table below sets out the conditions that decide whether bonus money becomes yours.
| Term | What it means | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Wagering requirement | The total amount you must bet before bonus winnings convert to cash | The multiplier and whether it applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus |
| Game contribution | The share of each bet that counts toward playthrough, which differs by game type | Which games count in full, in part, or not at all |
| Maximum bet | A cap on stake size while a bonus is active | The stake limit and whether it applies to every game |
| Expiry | The window in which playthrough must be completed | When the countdown starts and what happens to unfinished bonus money |
| Withdrawal cap | A ceiling on how much can be cashed out from bonus winnings | The cap and whether it applies per bonus or per account |
Game contribution is the term players misread most, because it hides inside normal play. A spin on a slot and a hand of blackjack can cost the same, yet only one may move your playthrough forward. That gap means two players with identical balances can sit at very different distances from a payout. Choosing games by contribution rather than by preference is the single change that saves the most bonus value. A slow-moving playthrough also runs closer to expiry, which adds pressure later. Settle the game list before you start, not after your balance is half gone.
A Worked Example
The figures below are an illustration only; they are not the terms of Casinoramas or any other operator. They show how the arithmetic of a wagering requirement behaves.
Start with a deposit of 100 and a bonus of 100, and assume a wagering multiplier of 45 applied to the bonus alone. Multiply 100 by 45, which gives a playthrough target of 4,500. Every eligible bet reduces that target by its stake, multiplied by the game’s contribution rate. The deposit stays yours; only the bonus carries the condition.
Now suppose the multiplier applies to deposit plus bonus instead. Add the two amounts to get 200, then multiply by 45 for a target of 9,000. The same bonus now demands twice as much play in total. This is why the base of the calculation matters more than the size of the bonus. A generous-looking offer with a combined base can be stricter than a smaller one tied to the bonus only.
Game choice changes the pace. A slot that counts in full adds each stake straight to progress. A table game counting at a fraction adds only part of the stake, so the same spending moves you far more slowly. Casinoramas sets its own contribution list, and casinoramas.org/ publishes the conditions players should weigh before claiming. Tracking your progress by hand keeps the real remaining target visible. Without that check, players often believe they are closer to the end than they are.
Stake size plays a second role. A large stake clears the target faster but risks hitting the maximum bet rule. A small stake stays compliant but may not finish before expiry. The practical answer is a steady stake that respects the cap and fits the time you have. Neither extreme is worth the risk to the bonus.
Finally, treat the target as a budget rather than a number. The example target of 4,500 is money cycled through games, not money lost, but losses along the way are real. Players who clear a bonus usually planned the playthrough before depositing. Those who did not often discover the size of the task too late.
Withdrawing After a Bonus
Withdrawal rules only bite once playthrough is complete, so confirm that status first. The bonus balance should have converted to cash before you request anything. A request made while bonus money is still tied up may be refused or may cancel the bonus. Completing the requirement first keeps the decision in your hands.
The withdrawal cap decides how much of the win you actually receive. Bonus winnings above the cap are normally removed, not carried over. That does not make the bonus worthless, but it changes what a big win is worth. Players with a large balance should expect the cap to apply before anything else.
Identity checks come before any payout. Have your documents ready in the account so the request does not stall. The name on the account must match the name on the payment method. Mismatches are the usual cause of a hold at this stage.
Any deposit still locked into the bonus can affect the payout amount. Some operators release the deposit only after playthrough, and others return it with the winnings. Reading how the deposit is treated avoids a surprise when the balance is confirmed. The total you can withdraw is the figure after the cap and after any remaining conditions.
Keep records of the bonus you claimed and the playthrough you completed. A short note of dates and amounts settles most disputes quickly. Support teams work from account history, and your record helps them find the right entries. Clear records also stop you from claiming a second bonus on the same account by mistake.
How Free Spins Work
Free spins are a separate bonus with their own conditions, even when they arrive with a deposit offer. The spin count and the game are fixed, so you cannot move them elsewhere. Each spin places a set stake on the reels on your behalf. Winnings from those spins normally land in a bonus balance rather than in cash.
The value of a spin is the stake it carries, not the size of the prize it might produce. A bundle of low-value spins can yield less than a single spin at a higher stake. Players often judge a spin offer by the count alone and misjudge its worth. Compare the stake per spin before you treat the offer as generous.
Winnings from spins usually carry their own wagering requirement. That requirement may differ from the one attached to a deposit bonus. Two separate targets can run at the same time, which complicates progress tracking. Treat each balance separately so neither target is forgotten.
Expiry applies to spins as well. Unused spins often vanish at the end of their window, and nothing is credited for them. Use them early if the window is short. Spins that expire unused cannot be recovered afterwards.
Some games accept spins only at certain stake levels, and the stake is usually fixed by the offer. You cannot raise it to chase a larger win. The maximum bet rule still applies to any real-money play alongside the spins. Mixing paid spins with free ones is allowed only within that cap.
Winnings from spins may also face a withdrawal cap when they convert. The cap can be lower than the one for deposit bonuses. If the cap matters to you, weigh it before you play the spins. A large spin win above the cap will be trimmed at withdrawal.
What Voids a Bonus
Most voided bonuses come from ordinary actions taken without thinking, and each has a simple guard.
- Betting above the maximum stake voids the bonus and its winnings. Set your stake below the cap before your first bet and leave it there.
- Playing an excluded game with bonus money active can cancel the offer. Confirm the eligible game list before you open a table.
- Opening a second account to claim the offer again is treated as abuse. Keep one account per person and per household.
- Withdrawing before playthrough is complete usually forfeits the bonus. Finish the requirement first, then request the payout.
- Letting the bonus expire with playthrough unfinished removes the remaining balance. Track the expiry date from the day the bonus lands.
- Using a payment method in your own name that differs from the account name causes a hold. Keep the account name and the payment name identical.
- Sharing login details with another person breaches the account rules. Keep the Casino Rama login private and sign out on shared devices.
A voided bonus rarely comes back, so prevention is the whole game. The rules behind these mistakes are written to catch patterns rather than single slips, but the effect on a player is the same. Small habits protect most of the value: a fixed stake, a known game list, and one account. A calendar note for the expiry date covers the most common loss of all. None of this takes long, and all of it happens before the first bet.
